Amanda McGee

Amanda McGee, originally from Franklin, TN, has always had a deep passion for movement and dance. This love led her to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Tennessee State University, which she completed in 2016. In addition, Amanda is a certified STOTT PILATES® instructor and has specialized training in dry needling for myofascial trigger points through Myopain Seminars.

A 2010 Magna Cum Laude graduate from Florida State University, Amanda earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. During her time at FSU, she was an active member of the Dance Repertory Theatre, under the direction of Lynda Davis, and worked with renowned choreographers including Dan Wagoner, Gerri Houlihan, Monica Bill Barnes, Alan Danielson, Stephen Koester, and Wallie Wolfgruber. In 2008, she choreographed and premiered her work at the Days of Dance concert at FSU. Her career path also led her to New York City in 2009, where she completed an arts administrative internship with Susan Marshall & Company and a physical therapy internship at Westside Dance Physical Therapy.

Amanda’s passion for Physical Therapy and Pilates grew from her own personal journey recovering from a significant ankle injury and subsequent surgery while dancing. This experience deepened her understanding of the body’s mechanics and fueled her desire to help others recover. Over the years, Amanda has gained extensive clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, pediatric care, and skilled nursing rehabilitation. She also has a rich background in teaching dance and Pilates to individuals of all ages.

Since 2016, Amanda has been a practicing physical therapist in Nashville, TN, where she has worked with a diverse range of patients, treating a variety of injuries and conditions.

Outside of her professional life, Amanda is a busy mother of two young sons, with another on the way, and a devoted wife to a fellow physical therapist. She loves spending quality time with her family, especially outdoors—whether it's cheering on her kids at their sports games, going for family walks, or unwinding with a good book.
